GET EKKI TJÁÐ MIG -RYTHMICAL COMPOSITION
I wrote pop songs in my composition classes, all of which I performed on the student final term concerts. These songs vary in musical style. The song Get ekki tjáð mig, is bossanova style tune with unconventional chord structure, and progressed my guitar playing to a more ambitious stage. The lyrics revolve around friendship and a break-up.
TJÁNING-DOCUMENTARY
I participated in a highly inspiring class on documentary filmmaking led by Ragnheiður Gestsdóttir where I got the opportunity to watch and discuss the various forms of this medium and understand deeper its validity and possibilities, realizing that there were many ways to document subjects and that one filmmaker's vision at a certain time does not necessarily depict the truth, although it can always give an insight into the approach. I then made my own documentary on my artistic practice.

SheHE - A short film
In a course named The World Wide Web, I went to Holland to participate in workshops and listening to lectures on various musicians who use the internet solely as a working platform. The idea was for students to formulate groups to work together in sperate countries formulating somewhat of a music piece that would be published online. I made a short film where I acted against a fellow student playing a man trying to realize and understand the struggles of a female friend. Realizing in the end that he can not as he is a man. It questioned the ideas people subconsciously have about their gender but wanting to change it. A student from Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen who arranged a band to improvise a soundtrack to it based on the mood.
